How does the workforce development funding work?

PAASP provides professional resources and training subsidies to industry partner members to support the accomplishment of PAASP objectives, though the specific direction and training needs are determined by the partnership members and the steering committee. Partnering companies work with the Industry Partnership to identify their security and preparedness-related occupations and workforce development needs. Partnering companies also provide cash and in-kind support of the workforce development initiatives. The partnership helps to identify trainers, educational providers, consultants and programs for employers interested in providing training to their employees or working on other workforce initiatives. Training programs can be developed or procured and offered in a variety of formats & locations including: on an open-enrollment basis or developed for a specific set of employees for a couple of employers.
