VETERAN’S EXPO 

Who: ALL veterans and their spouses  

When: Wednesday, August 6, 2008, 11 am – 4 pm 

What: You should bring ample copies of your most recent resume and dress appropriately for interviewing. There will be areas reserved for interviews to be conducted. Make sure you come prepared. 

Transportation: Buses will be available on a first come first serve basis. An advanced reservation for seating is required. To reserve your seat please call your local Veterans Employment Representative. Deadline to reserve seating is 25 July 2008. Call Now!

The Veterans Expo is designed to provide all veterans and their spouses job opportunities available with employers in the region. Attendees may also speak with representatives from numerous educational institutions, apprenticeship programs, and obtain information about financial aid. The Veterans Administration (VA) will be available to provide pertinent and timely information on veteran’s benefits, how to file for your benefits, and how to access care. 

There will also be a Welcome Home Event for Recent OEF/OIF Servicemembers that have returned from recent worldwide military engagements. There will be food, entertainment, and recreational activities for the returnees and their families. For additional details please contact Bill Cress at 724-285-2493 or Tod Conner at 1-800-362-8262, ext 5583.

We hope you will join us for this exciting first-ever regional veterans event designed to welcome and honor our veterans who bring discipline, a strong work ethic, and great skills to the workplace!

Reservations are limited and will be honored on a first-come, first-served basis.

Event Exhibitors: Your comprehensive investment per table is $125 and includes all advertising costs and lunch for two (2) of your people.

We anticipate a large attendance by area veterans and their families (including spouses who may need jobs as well).
An Armstrong employer is paying for bus transportation for all veterans in each county needing a ride and/or wanting to save gas.

You won't want to miss the May 16th TRCPA meeting. This special meeting will be held at the Iron Mountain facility in Boyers, PA (we will travel by bus - at no charge). In addition to touring the facility, lunch will be provided and we will have a presentation entitled 'Current Trends in Data Protection and Business Continuity'.
