The Cambria/Somerset Safety Consortia Members are please to announce that the safety conference will return for its sixth consecutive year. This year’s conference will once again be held at the Frank J. Pasquerilla Conference Center in downtown Johnstown on Tuesday September 30, 2008.   This year’s conference will begin at 8:00 A.M and end at 3:30 P.M.  Nine Educational Workshops included.

The Veterans Expo is designed to provide all veterans and their spouses job opportunities available with employers in the region. Attendees may also speak with representatives from numerous educational institutions, apprenticeship programs, and obtain information about financial aid. The Veterans Administration (VA) will be available to provide pertinent and timely information on veteran’s benefits, how to file for your benefits, and how to access care.

Our speaker for June is Paul Van Osdel. Mr. Van Osdel has been an investigative reporter at WTAE Channel 4 since March 1999. He loves digging deep, especially when it comes to people in power. It’s his job to know the things they don’t want him to know.
Mr. Van Osdel has won several awards for his work, including an Emmy. He is a graduate of Tufts University.   Mr. Van Osdel will speak about the challenges and rewards of conducting investigations into white collar crime and other public crimes
