PAASP can fund initiatives related to workforce development for employers across Pennsylvania. Typically the training funding is focused on employees working full-time in an occupational sector identified below, who both live and work in PA.

PAASP Services/Initiatives
- TRAINING – We develop Skill Training and Certification Initiatives with Employers & Industry Groups
- Trained 204 people in 06-07; Targeting to train over 250 people in 07-08.
- WEBSITE CLEARINGHOUSE – We serve as a Catalyst, Link & Information Clearinghouse with Private & Public Employers, Professional Associations & Industry Groups, Providers/Schools, & Government Agencies
- CAREER PATH MODEL/DEVELOPMENT – We develop & provide Industry Driven Career Ladders & Job Summaries, along with Current Salary Analyses
- INDUSTRY RECOGNIZED CURRICULUM – We develop common Skill and Competencies Matrices that are matched to Industry Recognized Training Curriculum (series of programs)
- PIPELINE DEVELOPMENT – We develop People Pipeline Initiatives – Internships, Company & Career Expos
- INTERNSHIP PROGRAM – A to Z internship program for employers & college students, plus career development activities to supplement internship for students
- JOB LISTINGS – Individuals may register for our job openings distribution list, which we compile approximately every 3 weeks and includes job openings across PA, in the occupations covered above. Future development plans for the website include a job board.
- CERTIFICATIONS – We support the study for and attainment of professional certifications where they exist for occupations identified. Funding is provided for both prep classes and certifications (when the certification is part of a training process)
- GRANTS & REVENUE GENERATION – Identify other funding sources for PAASP and its partners/members; Generate funding through training and other projects
